Benfica get it right in Champions League

Benfica finally did something right this season and it could not have come in at a better time as the club gets a big home victory to kick off their Group Stage in Champions League action.

Benfica coach Jorge Jesus said his club would be ready for the encounter against Isreal club Hapoel Tel-Aviv and the Eagles opened the scoring in the first half when when Luisao let one rip from the top of the penalty box on a Carlos Martins cross which he sent into the top right corner of the net in one motion and Benfica were up 1-0 at the 21st minute.

The second half saw Benfica add to their lead when striker Oscar Cardozo tapped in a Maxi Pereira rebound at the 68th minute mark with Maxi and Ruben Amorim playing a beautiful give and go just before the marker. Benfica could have gone up 3-0 but Ruben Amorim's shot was well shaved by the Hapoel keeper.

You're right but Hapoel is the easy team in the group. Its going to be harder with Lyon and Schalke.
