As Liedson wraps up his playing career with Sporting we take a look at the Brazilian turned Portuguese, career in Portugal. Liedson arrived at Sporting from Corinthians in 2003 and has appeared in 214 league games and 311 in all competitions which include the Taca de Portugal, Champions League and Europa League all with Sporting.Liedson turned Portuguese citizen in 2009 and joined the National side appearing in World Cup 2010, Liedson chipped in 174 goals wearing the green and white with an impressive 116 in league play. Levezinho as he is know at Avalade won two golden boots in Portugal the first coming in the 2004-05 season and the second in 2006-07.
Liedson was unable to win the Portuguese League while a member of Sporting but the club did capture two Taca de Portugal trophys and two Super Cups. Liedson now heads back from where he arrived as the 33 year old looks to wrap up his playing career in Corinthians.
