Douglas signs contract with Braga

Braga have scooped up Guimaraes' striker Douglas and signed him to a 4 year contract after the striker did not sign back on with Guimaraes. The 25 year old Brazilian scored one goal in the past campaign.

Portugal announce squad for Norway qualifier

Portugal coach Paulo Bento has announced his squad for the upcoming Euro 2012 qualifier against Norway. Portugal will be looking to repay the Norwegians back for an earlier loss in Norway 1-0 early in the campaign. The Portuguese would vault themselves into first place in the group with a victory.

Domingos Paciencia heading to Sporting

The President of Braga Antonio Salvador has confirmed that former Braga coach Domingos Paciencia is heading to Sporting as the clubs new coach for next season. Salvador spoke to Sport TV and wished Domingos the best in his coaching career but made it clear that he did not wish Sporting any luck in the process.

Sporting's Abel has successful surgery

Sporting's Abel completed successful surgery to repair his ACL ligament in his right knee, the Sporting defender will remain in hospital until next Friday to recover and should be out of action for at least five months

Domingos confrims that he is leaving Braga

Domingos has let it be known to the Portuguese media today that he will be leaving Braga at the conclusion of the season. Domingos who took over Braga's head coach position on June 23, 2009 did not disclose where he may be heading but told reporters that his last game as Braga coach would be the Europa League Final against FC Porto.

Special One congratulates Domingos on achievement

Domingos Braga's head coach received hundreds of congratulations from family, friends and colleagues after his victory Thursday over Benfica and earning Braga their first ever trip to a European Final but one of the more special messages came from the Special One himself Jose Mourinho. Mourinho congratulated Domingos on the great work he has done at Braga and wished him luck in the finals.
